Good-bye, Sweet Friend

I thought letting go of my 37 year old horse would be easier.

But I was wrong.

Please meet me in the pasture when I pass from this world to the next, lift me on your broad, strong back and let's fly through heaven together.

Until we meet again, sweet friend, I'll carry you in my heart and soul.

  5. Oh Linda, I'm so sorry to hear.
I always like to think that the horses & dogs & critters of all kinds that I've loved will be in Heaven when I get there, because how could it be Heaven if they were not?

  6. I'm so sorry! He was such an integral part of your herd and your life. I can't imagine how difficult it must be to suddenly not have him there. Keep the happy memories of him close to your heart to help you get through to where you can smile about him again.

  9. Just checking in again. Hope you're feeling a wee bit better after such a huge loss. In this picture of him here, he looks absolutely amazing - fat, well-muscled and sleek. He obviously was loved and cared for. R.I.P. beautiful boy...
