Living the Irish Wolfhound Dream

Yep, I'm living the dream. There is nothing more fulfilling than a morning walk with the Hounds....and little, teeny Maggie Mae Moosamus.

I've been so busy integrating Loki, I haven't been working the horses. We also had our well go out last week, and we've been spending all our time off at the house with the well people.  They still haven't figured it out.

I remind myself that life is full of seasons, and I'll be back in the saddle soon enough.

  1. Well, you know... those dogs look big enough to be ride-able. Maybe you can include them in your challenge.

Just have them replace everything on the well. Ours was going out every few months and we'd be without clean dishes and showers and flushed toilets for days. We got so sick of it that we told them to replace everything, and we haven't had any problems since. Knock on wood.

    1. Ha! We're pretty much replacing everything.

Hey, I think you're right--the wolfhounds should count as horse work...right?

  2. Love the picture! You all look so happy. My puppy is a handful at the moment and I haven't done anything with the horses either. I'm sure you'll be working with the horses soon. Hope the well gets straightened out soon. That must ge a pain.

    1. It is a pain, but we're piggy-backing off our neighbor's water until it gets fixed. It has been over 10 days, so without the neighbor's help, we'd be in BAD, BAD shape around here. You need to update on your puppy soon!

    1. Thank you. They are fun dogs, but I'll try not to go overboard with too many stories and pictures! ;)

  5. Oh how wonderful! Not the well part, but that's just life. Walking with dogs is another great way to quiet the mind and really relax, sniff the sniffs we call it. They are gi-normous!!! But they have such kindness in their faces. Don't you just love dogs? They make life so much better. Kinda like our horses...is your Maggie a Lab? One of my all-time favorites for sure.
